

The visits to Mila’s web cameras have reached 4 million since the first camera was placed at Hvolsvöllur in mars 21. and the webpage the largest in Iceland. Visits are from all around the world and only 4 countries have still not visited the cameras, North Korea, Somalia, Svalbard/Jan Mayan and Vest-Sahara.
The company Modernus started monitoring the visits to Mila’s homepage last Thursday and according to their numbers, is Míla‘s homepage now the largest single homepage in Iceland. From Thursday evening, till midnight on Sunday, the visits to the web cameras had reached 1.112.000 visits. On Modernus homepage said: "never in our 10 years of monitoring webpages, have we seen anything like this, including times like nine eleven, Olympic games 2008 and the European championship in handball last year".
The cameras have been incredibly popular all around the world. many of the largest news media in the world have contacted Míla for permission to use footage from the cameras for their media. Foreign media have been very interested in the volcano eruption in Iceland, specially because of the effect the volcano eruption has in all Europe.
